PREVENTING CHILD ABUSE IN ST. TAMMANY PARISH

Mandeville, LA – On Saturday, April 13, 2013 the Exchange Club of West St. Tammany and Northshore Millwork, LLC teamed up to help prevent child abuse in St. Tammany Parish by building 58 pre-ordered cedar coolers for $119/each with the proceeds benefitting the Exchange Club’s primary focus of preventing child abuse in our local area. The cedar boards used in constructing the coolers were donated by 84 Lumber in Pearl River, LA and Igloo offered a large discount on the ice chests placed inside the cedar coolers. About 25 volunteers came out to help with the building of the cedar coolers at the Mandeville facility of Northshore Millwork where the volunteers received instruction, tools and the raw materials to complete this project in a single day. The volunteers finished off their long day of work with a crawfish boil at Northshore Millwork to celebrate their dedication, hard work giving back to the community of St. Tammany Parish. Proceeds will benefit the Hope House, Children’s Advocacy Center
